Approach

An apartment transaction is not a legal document; it is a sequence of decisions: when to investigate, how much to pay and when, what to insist on in the agreement and what to concede. The advocate's role is to give you the information at a time when it can still make a difference, not after the agreement has already been signed.

The office acts in sale transactions, purchases from developers, combination deals and urban renewal, and also handles construction defects, representation before the Superintendent of Land Registration, and civil and contractual litigation. Notarial services are also provided, including authentication of signatures, notarial powers of attorney and certified notarial translations.

What you receive

  • Direct contact with the advocate handling your matter, not only with a trainee
  • A detailed, clear fee proposal before work begins
  • Regular updates on deadlines, milestones and what is required of you at each stage
  • Handling through to the end: not just until signing, but until the rights are registered in your name
Introductory call. The first call is intended to understand the transaction and tell you what is required, and at the end you will receive a detailed fee proposal. The call does not commit you to engaging the office.

In the media

Adv. Amos Ilan was interviewed for a ynet article on construction defects in apartments: "Suffering from construction defects in your apartment? Here is how you can sue and obtain compensation" (ynet Economy, 5 February 2021). In the article he explained the developer's liability, the documentation of defects and the importance of the engineering opinion in a claim.

Adv. Amos Ilan wrote the opinion piece "The boundary between planning and property: releasing the landlocked plot" (Globes, Real Estate and Infrastructure section, 16 December 2021), on a plot of land without registered access, and on the distinction between planning rights and proprietary rights such as a right of way.
