Privacy policy
This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, for what purposes it is used, to whom it is disclosed, and what rights you have in relation to it. The policy is written in the masculine form for convenience only and is addressed to all genders.
Who operates the site
The site is operated by the office of Amos Ilan, Advocate and Notary, 17 Tzahal Street, Ness Ziona. For privacy enquiries: [email protected], phone 052-5927592.
What information is collected
Information you provide on your own initiative
The contact form on the site collects your name, phone number, type of transaction, and any details you choose to add in the free-text field. Further information may be collected if you contact us by email, WhatsApp or phone.
You are under no legal obligation to provide this information. You provide it of your own free will. However, without contact details we will not be able to get back to you or consider your enquiry.
Information collected automatically
As on most websites, technical data about usage is collected: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and the source from which you arrived. This data is used for proper operation, for security and for aggregate statistical analysis.
When a contact form is submitted, general information about how you reached the site (for example, a search engine or an advertisement) and the landing page is also sent to us, in order to improve the service and measure the effectiveness of advertising. This information is stored in the browser only for the duration of the visit.
What the information is used for
- Responding to your enquiry and considering whether we can represent you
- Contacting you about your enquiry, including by phone, email or WhatsApp
- Providing legal services, if an engagement is entered into between us
- Improving the site and its content on the basis of aggregate usage data
- Measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and online advertising
- Complying with legal obligations, including obligations that apply to advocates
To whom the information is disclosed
We do not sell personal information and do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. The information may be accessible only to the following:
- Providers of hosting, email and infrastructure services that operate the site and the office's systems
- Providers of measurement and online advertising services, as detailed in the cookies section below
- Parties to whom disclosure is required by law, or for the purpose of protecting the office's rights in legal proceedings
Cookies, measurement and advertising
The site uses cookies (Cookies) and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential cookies for the proper operation of the site and to save preferences, including the accessibility settings you have chosen and your acceptance of the cookie notice
- Measurement cookies for statistical analysis of usage patterns, to improve content and structure
- Advertising cookies of online advertising systems, for displaying advertisements and measuring their effectiveness
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may impair the functioning of parts of the site, including the saving of accessibility settings.
We actually use two services. The first, Cloudflare Web Analytics, measures traffic on an aggregate basis only, does not use cookies, does not collect personal identifiers and does not track visitors across sites. The second, the Google Ads advertising system, measures which enquiries came from advertisements, and for that purpose it uses cookies and advertising identifiers.
The measurement and advertising services are operated by third parties, and their privacy policies apply to the information collected through them. We recommend reviewing those policies on their websites.
Your rights in the information
Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: to request to inspect the personal information about you that we hold
- Right to rectification: to request the correction of information that is not accurate, complete, clear or up to date
- Right to erasure: to request the deletion of the information, subject to retention obligations under the law
- Removal from mailing lists: to request not to receive marketing communications, if any have been sent
You may exercise any of these rights by writing to [email protected]. We will respond to your request within the period prescribed by law.
Please note that information forming part of a client file is subject to the retention, record-keeping and confidentiality obligations that apply to advocates, and therefore cannot always be deleted in full.
How long the information is kept
Enquiries that did not lead to an engagement are kept for a reasonable period for follow-up and handling, and are then deleted. Information relating to the office's clients is kept in accordance with the periods prescribed by law and by the rules of the Israel Bar Association.
Information security
The site is secured with encrypted communication, and the office takes reasonable measures to secure the information it holds. However, no online system is completely immune, and we therefore cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorised access.
Minors
The site is not intended for use by minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about minors.
Changes to the policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page, and the date of the last update will appear at the top. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
