Land Registry extract: 3 things to check before buying an apartment
The Land Registry extract in a 30-second video
Video transcript
Before you pay the seller a single shekel, obtain a Land Registry extract. Check who the registered owners are on the extract, and make sure they all sign the agreement. Mortgages, attachments and notes: you see them on the extract before you pay. Parking and storerooms must be registered, not just written into the agreement. And the extract is accurate only as at the day it was issued, so obtain a fresh extract before every payment.
For the full explanation: Land Registry extract: how to obtain it, what it costs and how to find the block and parcel. The full guide explains how to obtain an extract on the Ministry of Justice website, what it costs, how to find the block and parcel numbers, and how to read the extract before buying an apartment.
